Welcome to Impacting Niger!!
Through this site we hope to chronicle many of the good things God is doing in the country of Niger, West Africa.
This is a needy country in many ways but we believe that the Almigthy God loves Niger and is about to do great things for this noble land.
We are claiming, for this land, God's promise from Isaiah 43:19
"I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert!"
Join us in praying for God's special blessing for Niger and her peoples, a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. We will do our best to keep you aware of the special needs of Niger as well as what God is doing there to bring the peoples of Niger to Himself.
Daniel & Sophie Marineau, here in Niger since August 2006, are making good headway in their study of the Tamajaq language. Follow their activity at http://www.versleniger.blogspot.com.
Ace & Cecilia Cheung, in Niger since September 2006 are branching out to new things. They have been getting a hold of the local market language, Djerma for the last year and a half. We are happy to add to our site a slide show prepared by Dave & Quinn Cheung. Dave is the brother of our colleague Ace and came with his talented wife, Quinn, to help with a short term team this January. You will enjoy the creativity and professionalism of their presentation. It gives a good picture of what life is like and shows, in a graphic way, some of the needs that we are trying to meet here in Niger. Just click on the play arrow of the YouTube link below.
